VELLAP SCAN

The VELLAP SCAN is an app for the quantitative evaluation and documentation of VELLAP tests.

The integrated Flowify AI® ensures the precision of a laboratory measuring device at the point of care.

VELLAP SCAN uses the integrated camera of your smartphone to register a VELLAP test cassette using its individual code and supports test execution with an integrated multi-timer that automatically adjusts to the required readout time and, if necessary, also makes parallel processing of several tests child's play.

After the reading time has elapsed, you can use the app to record the test result - objectively and within seconds. The result is immediately available in the app and in the VELLAP portal.

With VELLAP SCAN you can also do all work offline. The AI runs locally on your smartphone. The app is therefore also suitable for work environments that do not allow an active connection.

As part of the performance evaluation of the VELLAP D-Dimer rapid test, we were able to make a direct comparison under point-of-care conditions and compared the VELLAP SCAN app with one of the best strip test measuring devices on the market.

The graph shows the measurement results from 175 real samples, using a pool of Android and iOS smartphones.

The D-dimer concentrations determined by VELLAP SCAN show remarkable correlation over the entire measurement range and strong robustness to varied cell phone models, background and lighting.

In addition to the high performance and reliability in test execution in the market, we have come to greatly appreciate VELLAP SCAN as a tool in test development. Hundreds of tests are analyzed here every day and maintaining the exact assay time after sample order is of great importance - here we particularly benefit from the automatic multi-timer and the rapid recording of results.
